Experience the sights and sounds of the Era that brought you The Summer of Love, Haight Ashbury, and the Flower Power Days. The show brings alive the spirit and signature hits of the late 60's and comes complete with wardrobe changes, psychedelic lighting, and fog to give each performance remarkable authenticity.
The six member band consists of two girls and four guys (two guitars, keys, bass and drums) all sing lead and backup to reproduce all the great harmonies along with the true full instrumental sound ! ! ! Highlights of the show...Janis Joplin, Burton Cummings, Jimi Hendrix, Grace Slick, The Mamas & The Papas, Sly Stone, John Kay and on drums Sonny Bono...all bashing out legendary tunes from this magical time. In addition to the name THE SUMMER OF LOVE SHOW, the group has been known as Arrow 93's CLASSIC ROCKERS...KCBS RADIO, L.A. As their promotional house band they played events including The Taste Of Newport, The Old Pasadena Summerfest, and the annual "4th of July Bash" at CBS studios. They have had the honor of sharing the stage with such greats as the Beach Boys, Toto, and the Bus Boys to name a few. Now the music of the late 60's is bringing nostalgia of the love generation back to those who lived it and to a new generation fascinated by it ! ! !
Let's celebrate the 40 Year Anniversary of the Summer of Love (1967) at Your Upcoming Events for 2007 NOTE : the band can perform four sets as South Bay Rockers doing dance hits from the 60's, 70's, and 80's. |
